Mission:
The Genesis Legacy
Location: Holodeck
ON
The time was set; the appropriate bits of blackmail or bribery put in place to secure an afternoon of Holodeck time. Well technically when one sees the Captain's wife as a guest it does go towards making a little 'exaggeration' in the reasoning. While Velah is not lying, she is stretching things a bit, but then an afternoon of pampering is worth a few small bits of 'creative' Logistics.'
Velah walk through the corridors in a Yolga style outfit, a soft burgandy, over her swimsuit so not to bring any real unwanted attention. The bag for her other needed things was not much larger than an old Earth style purse and the smile on her face was enough to keep any stares from bothering her. SHe pressed the contols and the doors opened.
What was on the other side did not have the real words to do it justice, a high end Spa built around a natural Hot Spring is what she had dilaed up; a large enough place to have massages and all sorts of pampering. Velah waited in the lobby for the others to arrive.
Zhara wore a long burgundy caftan over a one-piece swimsuit, a matching turban on her head. It did not take any bribery on Veelah's part to get her to attend. She was looking forward to a girls' night at the spa. It had been far too long since she'd indulged herself.
She walked onto the holodeck and saw her friend waiting in the lobby. "Hello," Zhara greeted her. "You look lovely."
Élan walked through the corridors with one of her ‘happy’ gaits, although to most people it looked like she would start skipping at any moment. She wore a black bikini covered by an almost sheer wrap, but she had taken the precaution of wearing a long black fuzzy robe as well. By now, most of the people on board the Hyperion knew that the chief science officer was eccentric and perhaps a bit of an oddball when it came to what she dressed in, so her skipping barefoot through the ship in a robe wasn’t too far removed from what everyone had come to accept as her ‘normal’ behavior.
Stepping into the holodeck, Élan smiled as she saw Velah and Zhara already there. “Good evening,” she said as the doors closed behind her.
"Hello," Zhara said, greeting the science officer with a warm smile. "I'm glad you could join us."
“Well, who am I to pass up a girls’ night out?” Élan said with a smile. “Besides, it’s a good thing to get out and spend a night getting pampered, and I’m sure that all of us need it.”
Mara had been surprised to receive an invitation from one of the senior officers to an afternoon on the holodeck. Having been around Starfleet officers for as long as she had, she had to wonder if the invitation came from the fact that her status as the captain's wife and a member of the party involved in the holodeck session had been mentioned by the officer who had invited her. Either way, she supposed that it would be a pleasant distraction for the afternoon and it would be something to do other than raid the ship's library and drink her husband's supply of red wine. Naturally, she had brought a bottle of black berry merlot. Dressed in a low cut one piece ruby red swimsuit and a heavy full length wraparound, she supposed it looked a little odd for her, the captain's wife, to be walking through the ship dressed as she was and holding a bottle of wine. Arriving at the holodeck, Mara headed inside and gave the officers inside a smile. "Good afternoon," she said.
"Good afternoon," Zhara said, smiling at Mara. "Welcome our little outing."
"Thank you, although I have to admit that I was surprised to be invited," Mara said as she glanced around the holodeck. "Is this a hot springs spa setting?"
"Of course," Zhara assured her. "Mineral springs are said to have therapeutic qualities."
“It's too bad it’s not the real thing, though,” Élan said with a slightly longing look on her face. Some natural mineral springs could and often did have an additional effect on a Trill symbiont, even joined ones, that was something of a mixture of a mild anesthetic and sometimes even an aphrodisiac. Mostly, the symbiont would have the feeling of being really, really high or at the very least extremely relaxed. A holographic spring wouldn’t contain the minerals, but that didn’t mean that Élan wouldn’t enjoy herself. On the contrary, she was looking forward to a nice, long, quiet evening in the spa.
"Hmm," Zhara mused. "That might be worth exploring if we're going to spend time in Romulan space. Might be good for morale. I'll speak with the Captain about it."
"I'll have to blackmail him into agreeing to it, but I'm sure it can be arranged if we find a peaceful planet," Mara said. "Besides, I'm sure everyone would enjoy some shore leave if a nice enough planet was found during our travels."
Zhara's smile widened. "An excellent idea."
The fluffy ears of Kaiyo peeked out from behind a wall as she peered around. She had done some research on what a 'Spa' was, but she had never been to one in her life. Her swimsuit was very similar to what Humans would call a 'Bikini', except that this was more suited for her body, making space for her tail and instead of revealing the top of the chest area it was more like a shirt, with a collar.
She peeked at the group, a little shy. She wasn't sure what to do next.
"Welcome," Zhara said. "Come join us. We're waiting for everyone to arrive."
Liang walked onto the holodeck. "Who are you waiting for?"
"Jayde, for one," Zhara said.
"She...will not be able to attend," Liang said. "She sent me with her apologies."
"What would demand her attention so much that she couldn't be available to join us?" Mara asked. Before the security chief could answer, she sighed as her mind raced to the most obvious answer. "Not that Romulan liason officer again."
Liang shook her head. "No. Not the Romulan Liaison Officer."
"Good. If I have to hear one more thing about how many special security concerns and measures have to be taken because of her I might just murder someone," Mara said.
