Finally a Lieutenant!

Personal log, LIEUTENANT Honoka Kousaka reporting. Thats right, its all official now. I finally made full Lieutenant, no more Junior Officer for me! Anyways, its been three weeks since I reported on board the new Starship Hyperion. I've been supervising the final stages of fitting out and final preparations for the big day.

The ship is swarming with engineers and Ops people. They're all working hard and I even saw some teal shirts yesterday getting the ships sickbay ready. Talking of sickbay, we've managed to fix that problem with the lights. We're still not sure why the ships computer thought that the sickbay of all places was an on board nightclub, although the classical dance music was pretty jammy to listen to. I'm also still a little surprised that the EMH knew the dance moves to a song called 'The Macarena'. Regardless we got it all fixed, apart from the EMH, I thought that might be entertaining to see when our Doc gets aboard.... eyyyy Macarena! Sorry, couldn't resist...

Regardless of that we've had only really minor problems finishing the ship, silly stuff really like the carpets not fitting correctly, the Captain chair controls making whoopie cushion noises, stuff like that. I'm hoping to finally bring the warp core online tomorrow and the ship should then be ready for her space trials. I'm not sure when the new Captain is coming aboard, but I look forward to meeting him or her... or both maybe? You can never be too careful I guess.

Anyways, I've rambled on enough for one evening. I've got a few hours before I should continue my loving relationship with my pillow, so I think I'll slip into that new cute crop top and exercise shorts I got the other day, go for a run somewhere. I know that Ensign Lambert has a thing for me, I might run past his duty station just to wind him up. Ha! I'm an evil genius! Right, time to go! Eyyy Macarena.... DAMN IT GET OUT OF MY HEAD!
