| Physical Description | Honoka is of original Japanese descendancy. She has a slim athletic body type. Her red gingerish hair is usually kept at shoulder height and on duty she ties this up to one side in a small pony tail, usually with a strand of ribbon. Off duty she wears a variety of different clothing, she has a fairly large wardrobe selection. Some of her outfits compliment her figure and she is not afraid to show off a bit of tummy skin every now and again. She always keeps her uniform neat and alternates between the skirted variant and standard trousers uniform depending on how she feels that day. |

| General Overview | Honoka is a cheerful and bright willed individual. She is determined and has a good way of bringing people together, these qualities make her easy to like and get along with. She us fair and kind to others, but knows when to put her foot down on some things. She sometimes meed a motivational push to do important tasks when shes feeling a bit discouraged. She does have passion for her work and has drive to make others smile. She is a good leader when she needs to be and enjoys working with others. | |

| Ambitions | Honokas ambitions are somewhat unclear. Right now she is quite content in doing her job, she once wanted to be a singer and dancer, but entered Starfleet as her second option in life. She does one day see herself having her own family, but doesn't see this happening soon. She often gets nervous when anyone brings up her getting pregnant as she likes her figure and doesn't consider herself ready for children in her life yet. | |

| Personal History | Born in an out district of Tokyo, Honoka was the first born of the Kousaka family who own and run a traditional Japanese sweets store called Homura. Her father is the lead Wagasi chef while her mother assists and runs the front of house. As a child, Honoka could be described as adventourous and would often play outside in the nearby play parks with her friends. She could often be found building dens in the nearby woods and climbing trees. She was no stranger to minor injuries. Her grades were pretty average in her schooling. In her high school life from age 15 to 18 she became involved heavily with the Japanese school idol culture and formed a group that would be come to known as "Muse" although the Kanji was more like a 'U'. She loved the dancing and singing part of being an idol. However the early morning and workout routines were one aspect she didnt enjoy. Regardless she pushed through and was known for her leadership style which was fair and kind. No one predicted that she would join Starfleet. Everyone saw her going to become an idol professionally. However at Eighteen she was looking into career options. At an open day at Starfleet Tokyo Complex she got talking with a few of the recruitment officers. They checked her grades and they were just good enough for the officers academy. She considered it and decided to give it a shot, she would be the first of her family to leave Earth and that excited her. Plus she didn't want to run the sweets shop after her mother and father stepped down. She managed to get accepted, but wasn't sure which department to take. Instead she put in for the general officer program. Her first year at the Academy was uneventful, she did well and showed some talent for working with Starfleet systems, something which surprised her and the lecturers. She had no idea she would have a 'knack' for working with technology. In her second year she was told she could go into the Engineering division now she had passed basic officer training. Honoka agreed and switched her red officer cadet uniform for a gold one. The next three tears Honoka built up a good relationship with her classmates. She needed the occasional push when it came to coursework and in her second year she joined the Academy's dance and music society. As a good singer she also joined the choir and became well known and liked for her musical and dance abilities. She graduated Starfleet Academy and gained the rank og ensign, she didn't make the top 10% of her class, but she was somewhere in the middle which was good enough for her. Honokas first Starfleet posting was aboard the USS York, a large Galaxy Class as a junior engineering officer. She impressed her department head for her work ethic and determination towards her work. After two years she found herself with an extra half pip on her collar. She remained aboard the USS York at the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade for the next two years as an Engineering Officer, however did occassionally hold the watch position in Engineering on the night shift. Eventually crew rotations came around and Honoka wanted to really excel. She was hoping to gain more command experience and with a vacancy coming up for the Assistant Chief Engineer she put in for it. She was told there were other better candidates, however the USS Stephanie needed capable engineers and being an Intrepid Class the ship was smaller and you were easily more noticed. Honoka managed to grab herself the Assistant Chief Engineer position aboard the Stephanie and fell in love with the Intrepid Class design. At twenty six, she had made considerable progress in her career and was proud of what she had achieved. The Stephanie was a good home for Honoka and was sent out on a two year deep space mission to chart and explore unknown systems on the very edge of Federation Space. On returning back to the Federation, the Stephanie was put into spacedock for a refit to the new Intrepid II class, a major upgrade on the Intrepumid design. Honoka wanted to help with tbe refit, however the Chief Engineer had been watching her carefully and had reccomended that she get her own department head position, she was young, ambitious, determined and showed skills and knowledge not often found in younger officers. She was told she was being reassigned. She wasn't sure why until she was given her new orders. She was ordered to report to the shipyard of the newly constructed USS Hyperion, to oversee the final stages of the ships construction and fitting out as the ships new Chief Engineer and with a rise in rank to that of Full Lieutenant |
