Chief Engineer's personal log: It has definitely been a day to remember. First of all, after reporting aboard I began by checking the engineering roster and found that one of my engineers was an old acquaintance of mine, Cadet (now Lieutenant) Karen Walker. Met with her, then decided to make her my Assistant Chief Engineer. Next, after being informed that the Executive Officer was now aboard, I went to meet with her in her quarters with the intention of reporting to her--and immediately was hit by a flying box that she had thrown while unpacking her personal effects.

Following my meeting with the XO, I decided to stop by the lounge for something--but what I got was a bit more than I expected. I met an absolutely beautiful woman from the science department named Elan Val. After a few minutes of admitted flirting with her, she got up from the table where we were sitting, walked around to my side and sat down in my lap. After a moment of talk, she then leaned in and kissed me, nipped my bottom lip, then got up and said her break was over and she had to go back on shift! She certainly left me wanting more.

Then, after that, it was back to engineering until getting a report of an explosion in the science lab. When I arrived, Chemistry lab 3 was in shambles, or perhaps more accurately I should say it was a wreck. Fortunately there were no serious injuries, just some bumps and bruises incurred when everyone was running in an attempt to escape before the explosion happened. I later learned that one of the officers involved was Lieutenant Val, but thankfully she was not injured either. About then my ACEO arrived with her repair party and we began the process of removing all of the wrecked equipment and beginning repairs.

Later that evening, I contacted Lieutenant Val and found that she was in the arboretum, so I decided to join her there. We lay on the grass, side by side, and enjoyed some pleasant conversation--and some VERY enjoyable kisses as well--and made plans to have dinner together the following evening. We talked until it was late evening and when we left the arboretum we shared a very long and passionate good-night kiss.

All in all, I can only say--WHAT A DAY...
