| Personal History | Daniel was born August 25th, 2355 in a village on the shore of Barcaba lake. He grew up doing the things that most children from that region did--hunting, fishing, swimming in the lake, and exploring the area around their village. He attended school in a nearby town until 2372 when he graduated a year early and applied to Starfleet Academy. He was accepted in 2373 for the class of 2377. In 2378, while serving aboard the USS William F. Halsey, he met Ensign Velah, an Orion female who was a doctor. They began dating and soon fell in love. They were married in 2379 by the Commanding Officer of the Halsey. In 2380, a daughter, Sassi, was born to them. Next, they were both transferred to Starbase 171. The marriage did not last, however, as Daniel was soon transferred to the USS Indianapolis. By this time, Velah had been promoted to Lieutenant and appointed as Chief Medical Officer and as such remained aboard Starbase 171 along with their daughter. They tried to maintain a long-distance relationship, but, as many relationships of that sort do, it did not last, and Velah petitioned for and was granted a dissolution in 2390. |
