Packing is always the hardest part of the move; looking at the crap that has accumulated over time like some biohazard that is silent and deadly, the things that creep up and hide in plain sight amazed Velah. She decided to get a few things set, make her closet a place to start storing boxes as she packed up. SHe would take a bulk of her wardrobe from the closet and pack it for moving to clear space for the other storage boxes.

It is when she started to really get serious that the Boxes in her closet already caught her notice; 'The Bastard' written on two boxes did not need to be opened to get the jest of what she had placed in them; she could almost tell herself each piece and which box it resided. There were memories there; ones she saved for Sassi one day; that is what she told herself, but they were the boarder memories, the good ones that might cause a little pain so she could not look at them but she did not have the resolve to recycle them either. It was a painful middle ground that she did not want to make the final decision on right this second, she had been careful in arranging things in the quarters to maintain a simple balance and once she arrives on the ship she will have to rebalance her life.

That would be the thing that bothers her as the quarters will be smaller; less room to display her personality, maybe better as there will not be the room to accumulate more junk. She pushed on the boxes; they were as far back as she could get them, pretty sad to know she could not just sweep them under the carpet. Why had she kept these but the bulk of her belongings she put back on Earth? What had she put in here; she thought she knew but there is a nagging in the back of her mind about what she had chosen to keep close but out of sight? There are still things that might bring a smile to her face but she did not want to feel that way right now. She could wait a little longer to decide if those stored pictures and other momentos are worth going to the ship, she thought not but it was still early in the packing.

She left the boxes as there are other things like the pictures; real photgraphic pictures from a film format that Velah used her skills in the 'Dark Room' to had focus and change into a better defined picture. The use of developer chemicals and lighting had done so much to make this an artistic outlet that she displayed around the quarters. While she did not quite have Daniel's eye for framing the shot Velah added depth to the images through her use of tricks durning the development process. These were needing to be gone through and her favorates taken so to leave room for future projects. These woere to be in another box of a diffrent kind all together.

Velah hated moving; she liked new places just hated the transition phase.
