Mission:
Pathways
Location: Final Call Quarters Star Base 171
ON
Sassi was still sleeping in the sofa; it was a quiet moment as a family, yet Velah was anything but 'quiet' in her head. The fact she had to gave up a very enjoyable Chief Medical post on the Star Base 171 to be assigned to this small little ship that would not have even taken up a large parking bay on the star base. Here she would be stuck because of… him
Daniel was a pig headed man; not without some sex appeal, but if he were so determined to have Velah AND Sassi this would not be so bad. If he had shown this determination and desire for Velah...” She hit the arm of the chair so hard it echoed.
Sassi almost stirred so Velah had to be more quiet.
She sat back in her chair and it made her more angry looking at the packed up boxes and her things ready for transfer to the New ship. Why did she not just stay here and send Sassi like summer vacation? Because Star Ships are not as safe as a station and patrols do not follow set time lines and Velah would miss being around her for long periods.
It would be an adventure for both the Girls; Velah will not admit there was a warmth in her that came from the prospect of discovering new things; maybe even exploring a little might be a good thing. Daniel was not a bad man; just an Ex that now only wants his daughter and not Velah, he had made his damn choice for sure.
All those times she was told ; BY him, that he loved her was a lie. He loved himself and he did not even keep up with his visitation because of mission patrols. Not that is was his fault; but it really was his choice to do such, and now she would be in close proximity to him again. She did not like that idea, it seemed a star base would be too close to him at this stage and the Hyperion was what 1/10,000th scale.
She had to rewsign herself to being around him; she could do that so long as he respected her space and did not speak. Actually she had been seeing the Counselor on the station in preparation to this.
His one redeeming quality of late is he did love his daughter enough to foght to get time with her; Sassi missed him and Velah would not stand in the way of that. It would be good for Sassi; good fr Velah and if Daniel got something out of it she will not complain.
The Ship arrived in system an hour ago; the call for the transport of her things should be within the hour.
She would wake Sassi just before they reported in.
That Man better be there to meet his daughter; she could forgive a lot if he makes a good impression on Sassi when they come aboard. But then Daniel always did make himself look good to women.
