| Personal History | Born 2362 in Salt Lake City Utah, North America, she was the second daughter of Edward and Marion Walker, a minister and teacher respectively. From an early age, Karen showed an aptitude for things mechanical and engineering. At the age of 8, she dis-assembled and re-assembled her bicycle with no problems. When the other girls of her age were playing dolls and such, Karen could most likely be found tinkering with something mechanical. Her mother's wish was for her to become a teacher as she and older sister Carolyn were, but in 2380 she decided to apply to Starfleet Academy and was accepted for the class of 2384. She graduated in 2384 as valedictorian of her engineering class, standing 1st in a class of 385 and was on her way as a budding Starfleet engineer. It is the opinion of most of those she has served with, and under, that she will soon be a Chief Engineer. |
