| Physical Description | Striker is a handsome man born with white hair; a recessive gene from his Father who was premature gray. It is something that Striker just lives with, clean shaven as it is best with Science work wearing breathing gear. His specialty is in the study of Hostile environments in his Specialty as an Astrobiology. He is a fit man with the Physique of a swimmer. He tends to wear sun glasses as a rule for his time spent outdoors. He wears lighter colors that are comfortable but well fit as he hates the look and feel of baggy clothing. His voice is not deep but resonating when he speaks. He is more the type to grin politely than laugh; he does carry a more concentrated or serious manner to him. |

| General Overview | Edward has a close connection to his sister; some say they have a bond that is emphatic; he grew up close to her and always in the company of his Sisters friends he would have girls to hang out or date. He is not the type as he observed; his was from a deductive while his sister equally observation was emotionally aware. He is emotionally distant to most aside from professional dealings while she is a socialite outside Star Fleet. Much of his being able to work with females and his distance could be attributed to his childhood with his sister. Striker is a more serious Scientist; he takes his Astrobology to full tilt; he has become very well studied in hostile environments and what kinds of Life forms have been logged and is one to theorize a problem through when approaching it; the simple answer is not always right unless the data confirms beyond doubt. He is a man of Observation and deductive reasoning that drives his work and his life as a rule. He is a man who watches everything around him and his actions are motivated by how the information is processed. He can be what some call romantic in that he learns what he observes will make someone happy and he tends to use his emotional conclusions as a last resort. Yet he will follow a gut instinct in his Science and life but close relations he can be distant. From a crew point of view he is a leader by example and is a macro type manager; objective driven; 'Who cares how we find the answer, just find it in time. He will adhere to procedures but with an near stoic expression bend a rule into a pretzel to find an answer. He is like a dog chasing a cat if perplexed and obsessive with getting results from experimentation or analyzing of Data. He is called mostly by Family name except friends and close colleagues can cal him 'Ed'. He is dabbles in sensory probes and computer data processing. |

| Personal History | Edward James Striker was third of four; some say he got half the four kids brains and his younger twin sister the other half. Edward studied insects and life at an early age and his manipulitive sister how to get what she wanted. He became a scientist and his sister a counselor. To say the second sone being a musician did not deter from the brain pool and his Eldest being a Sportsman and Captain of every team he ever played on launched him to Captaincy of an Akira ship of the line. Edward was 14 minutes older than his younger sister and they are close as thieves growing up and one always thought of it and the other engineered it. While Edward was a science wiz his Sister got them through school as a member of the In crowd rather than the Geeks he might have fallen in with. Some say he is so close to his sister that he became distant with most other women because he was constantly surrounded by her friends. He became comfortable with working with women on an equal basis. It was in the Academy that formed the twins first real separation; it was daunting to Edward as he was not the social of the two and his emotional distance made him harder to know and his keen mind helped him excel seemingly easy through his Science training. He found the engineering cadet help him with his love of remote devices; an incident of the female dorm shower room was with a device he built but had reported as missing two days prior to the incident. He was caught using a remote device to exchange with his sister in the female Dorms after hours; it was a minor offense and being twins the matter dropped. Both siblings were in the top 8% of their perspective classes. Edward boarded the USS Copernicus; a science ship, nova class bound for exploration of some uncharted systems two months away at high warp cruise. The first month on station was two systems void of life signs; the third had a type h; hostile environment with inter mitten Life signs. The thick atmosphere made scans hard. Probes were beamed down but were damaged upon materializing, terrain was hard to read and it was believed they all crash. Edward volunteered to go down; he had a love of Diving with gear so he was best candidate for a bio-hazard suit adaptation. The shuttle met turbulence on trip down ; hard to maneuver as he made smaller and smaller circles zeroing in on the life signs and in the last ten meters a wind shear caught the shuttle and it landed hard on jagged rocks, a Nacelle damaged and hull breeches made the shuttle unable to lift off. Pattern buffers were loaded in a second shuttle and in the interim Edward search for the Life signs; he found alpha waves from a creature that closely resemble a rock lobster. It was the shape closer to Typical crab with jagged rock claws. Not on the highest intellectual scale but it was life. The rescue shuttle dropped low and luck would have it he was transported to shuttle without need of buffers. There is now a spices of Rock Crab called Striker Crabs. The remainder of his tour was less exciting. The year passed quickly and with his achievements he was a Science Officer on the USS Quasar; a larger Science ship that was on survey mission and Mapping assignment. The duty went nearly uneventful were it not for the Away team comprised of the XO, chief of Science and Medical being caught by the Bronze age inhabitants and killed. Edward again volunteered to go down with security to use his tricorder and small remote device to get scans of the lost equipment. He lead the party and found the building; while not involved in the taking of it, he did follow and account for all the devices and then the team beam back to the ship. For the remainder of the tour He was acting deputy Science Chief. He kept that position for the remainder of the tour until resupply. The USS Dakota; a refit Nebula class with sensory module was out on patrol waiting to be relieved by an Akira Class vessel sent to a near by Star Base with facilities to repair the ship and the Dakota was running patrol. Edward earned Deputy Chief status officially now was priming the systems and with his interest in sensory equipment as a sub-specialty he primed and readied probes to be left in the wake to 'cover our backs' while we patrol. A simple network of passive probes; being a science ship the Dakota had more of an abundance than the Akira. The plan worked as a flotilla of Pirate raiders approached the vector to sneak in behind the patrol pattern and attack the station. AN Early Warning meant the Garrison ships and the Dakota were on station to repel the attack. Much to The Eldest Striker commanding the USS Edo, the patrolling Akira Class. The network was left in place and the sensory probing assignment for the Dakota ended. Back in Earth Sector the USS Hyperion A was boarding and crew assignments on a volunteer basis; Edward had accumulated the rank enough to apply for Chief of Science.
