| Physical Description | Wendi has a very light build and frame. As being part El-Aurian she looks quite young so people struggle to understand her real age. She usually keeps her hair in long twin tails, but sometimes ties it up when she needs it out of her way. She likes having long hair. It is dyed a very dark blue, nearly black as she likes to express herself that way. She prefers to wear the skirted uniform variant as she likes the movement it gives her. Wendi isn't very physically strong however she can be quick when she needs to be and is very good at dodging things. |

| General Overview | Wendi is a very different character when you first meet her. She is kind and caring and loves being around her friends. She comes across as young and inexperienced, however she actually has a lot of knowledge and is smarter than she looks. Most people confuse her for a child, however due to her half El-Aurian genes she lookes a lot younger than she actually is. On duty she is dedicated and has a strong sense of duty. She likes to have a little fun here and there, but when it counts she doesn't mess around. Off duty she is always up for a laugh and likes to let her hair down. She can be a little confused by some people. |

| Personal History | Born half El-Aurian and Half Human, Wendi was brought into this world on a stormy night on September 27th. She was born a few weeks premature, so she was always small and tiny from the start. As a child she was teased for being so small and for her petite frame. Born in Japan on the outer edge of Tokyo, her father worked in a Engineering research lab for Starfleet. Her mother, a civilian teacher had no ties to Starfleet. When Wendi was young, she would be dragged into the Engineering research lab during the school holidays, and she entertained herself by sitting and reading old technical manuals they had lying around. It was from then onwards that she started to become fascinated by engineering and starship design. She worked hard throughout school with the dreams of one day joining Starfleet. She wanted to follow in the footsteps of her grandfather who was an officer sserving as a Chief Engineer of a Starfleet Starship. When Wendi was sixteen, she had a choice. She could try out for Starfleet Academy and attempt to get into the officer's program. Or she could go into High School. Her grades were good for both. She decided to join into Starfleet at an early age, confident in her own abilities. She undertook the officer entrance exam, however she didn't pass it. She was devestated. However when on her review the Engineering Instructor informed her that she could easily get into the Enlisted Program. Wendi wasn't sure what that was, so she was told that she would be put through basic training and learn all she needed to know whilst serving on a Starship under an officer. It was essentially an apprenticeship style program. Wendi decided to go for that and she found herself at the Starfleet Enlisted Academy, one of the branches of the main Starfleet Academy. She underwent basic engineering and Starfleet Training being given the rank of Crewman Recruit. After two years, and at only age eighteen she found herself on the USS Reuban James working as a Crewman Apprentice in the ships Engineering Department. She was to serve one year on the Reuban James to finish her Engineering training and finally be granted an Enlisted Commission. After a year she passed all of her training and was promoted to the rank of Petty Officer Third Class. She was asked to stay on the Reuban James as she was doing well on the ship and the Chief Engineer liked having her around. (Mainly because she was tiny and could fit into the small spaces). At only nineteen, she felt like she had got her feet firmly on the ground and even though she was lowly ranked she didn't mind at all. She helped where she could for the next two years at Petty Officer 3rd Class before finally being offered a promotion to Petty Officer 2nd Class. She accepted the promotion and foound out that she could transfer to a bigger ship. She ended up being assigned to the USS Potemkin into their Engineering Department. The Potemkin being a Galaxy Class was a bigger challenge for Wendi. She enjoyed being on a bigger ship and getting to work with lots of new people and many new challenges. She worked hard on the Potemkin for the next three years. She eventually found herself being put back in for Promotion. Starfleet had recognised her accomplishments, especially in the enlisted field. At age twenty four, she had done well to work her way upto the rank of Petty Officer First Class. Once the three years of her tour on the Potemkin was up, and with her new rank Wendi found herself serving on board the USS Neptune. A brand new Sovereign Class Starship. She was told that she would be taking on more responsibility as she was placed in command of a Engineering and Damage Control Team. She enjoyed commanding a team and she loved being able to command people, although she had a slight problem with telling people what to do. She wasn't too confident in ordering people, so she would usually 'ask them nicely' instead. After two years serving on the USS Neptune and helping with their damage control teams. She had been learning in her own time the full trade of Engineering and now had a firm grasp of most of Starfleet Engineering systems. Some of them were still a little baffling to her, but she was learning fast. She transferred to the USS Hyperion as a Damage Control Engineer. Although she helped around in general around the whole department, so she got a good taste of every system. After only two months on the Hyperion there was an accident involving the ships Chief Engineer and Assistant Chief Engineer. She found herself in a different position, she was now the highest ranking Starfleet Personnel in the Engine Room. After approaching the Captain she was asked to take over the role of Chief Engineer as he was confident in her abilities. She accepted, and for the first time ever she stepped into a senior officer role, but only as a Petty Officer. She saw this as a new challenge and couldn't help but jump aty the chance to shine and finally do what she was born to do! |
