| General Overview | Jason is highly intelligent and creative. He's been known to mislead people into thinking he is more muscle than brains. He only resorts to violence as a last resort and would prefer to leave an opponent stunned or incapacitated over killing them. However, on the rare occasions he does lose control, he can become persistent. He doesn’t like to fail. Jason is very secretive, holding back much in the presence of people he doesn’t know or trust. Having spent most of his work as an undercover security officer, he finds it hard to connect with others. Often he spends most of his time in group just listening and silently observing others until disappearing back to his officer or quarters. |

| Strengths & Weaknesses | He also has a telekinetic ability, which he can control through his hands. Like his other ability, it comes with strain, but it’s more connected with the object. To move something small to medium objects like PADDs, tools, a weapon just barely out of reach than moving something big. The more weight an object is the more strain it causes him. It leaves him weakened and exhausted. The larger an object, the more strain it produces for him. In order to keep these abilities going, he is required to take daily injections of a chemical compound that contains kironide. Without this injection he may become irritable and violent. Although being well trained in combat and weapons, Jason is also training in the art of disguises and blending in. Because of this, its led him to working in security, primarily focusing on investigating crimes and working undercover. He enjoys solving mysteries the most and often finds himself being pulled into one. If he realizes there are lives in danger he sometimes may not be able to stop, almost becoming obsessed with it until its solved. Sometimes Jason has been known to take the law into his own hands in order to keep someone safe and out of harms way. Because of this, it has brought him face to face with danger. He requires daily injection of a chemical compound that contained kironide which his body has a hard time producing. The compound helps with causing less strain on his telekinetic ability. Without it, his body will begin to show signs of illness and withdrawals. His body would begin to slowly break down and leave him in a fail state. |

| Personal History | Jason was born a fraternal twin to Dregan and Nina Smoak on Earth shortly after his parents left their home planet of Platonius. His family moved to the island of Hawaii, because of its tropical settings. Jason and his sister Jasmine were born free spirits. As children, they both took to the culture like fish to water. It easily became home. They immersed themselves in the language and culture as if they were more human instead of Platonian. Soon the locals considered them more ’Ohana (Family) than Haole (Foreigner). At an early age, Jason’s telekinetic ability began to develop. Although this ability familiar to his people, and rare, he choose to keep it a secret. Keeping it from his family and friends, only exposing it to his twin sister Jasmine. Behind closed doors, he found ways to train this ability in order to improve upon it. Although he struggled from time to time, he got it to a place where it was usable and tolerable. Upon entering the Academy, Jason developed an interest in Security and Investigations. He found it that he enjoyed helping and protecting others. He gained a minor in Psychology, finding it helpful to understand not only what someone did, but also why they did it and what drove them to it. After graduation, he stayed in order to complete the advanced classes where he received high honors and was soon recruited into Starfleet Security Force on Earth. Jason spent years working with Earth Security. Moving his way up from Lieutenant to Lieutenant Commander. He was involved in a number of stings and arrests. Eventually, he became the lead officer of a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team which worked closely with Vice and Major Crimes. Everything was going well for Jason, until he heard the news of his parents deaths. Because of this, he began to focus more on his work, often spending long houses at the office and obsessing over unsolved cases. Foreseeing him going down a dark path, Jason's Commanding Officer recommended he be transferred to a starship in order to distance himself from the old cases he lingered over. |
